Mayer was great!
Carin Leon's music is a great blend of talent, crafty guitar work, and skill. "Edge of Desire," "Slow Dancin' in a Burning Room," and "Heartbreak Warfare" were highlights of the show. The band was great, with Robbie MacIntosh on guitar and that smokin' saxophone. I think the segue from "Dock of the Bay" into "Why Georgia" was clever. He looked a bit rough, maybe road weary, which added a certain edge. Compared to "Live on Letterman" from November 2009, Carin seemed different. I'm hooked on this guy, and thanks for a fantastic performance. We loved every minute, especially with a wee bit of mandolin.
